Tip of the Month
Drink your fluids.
With the weather warming up it gets easier to drink fluids but you may still not be getting enough fluids to stay well hydrated. Some of your daily fluid needs come from the food you eat. Drinking enough fluids, especially water, can help you manage your weight, prevent constipation problems, and keep your energy levels up. A rule of thumb to determine your fluid needs is to divide your weight by two. So if you weighed 200 pounds, you would need a total of 100 fluid ounces, including water and other beverages. Water is your best bet but remember disposable plastic water bottles are not intended to be reused multiple times since harmful bacteria levels increase. Save the environment and money by using a stainless steel water bottle that can be safely washed. If you do use disposable plastic bottles, be sure to recycle them rather than tossing them in the trash.
