Dr. Kozar retiring the end of the year!

Our Dr. Mark Kozar is retiring after over 30 years of service to the Reno community.

Dr. Kozar was integral in the formation of Western Surgical Group in 1996.

During the course of his career, Dr. Kozar was a leader of surgery in Reno. He performed the first laparoscopic gallbladder surgery in Reno in 1990. He was also a pioneer in Reno of the gastric sleeve, one of today’s safest and most popular procedures for weight loss.

He believed the key to providing excellent patient care is communication with patients and their families. He always strived to develop long-term relationships with his patients and enjoyed educating and collaborating with them to institute lifestyle changes to improve their health.

Western Surgical Group and the Reno community at large is incredibly grateful to Dr. Kozar, for his dedication and many years of faithful service.
