About Lars Webb, MD, FACS
Lars Webb, MD, FACS, joined Western Surgical Group in September 2019, bringing specialized expertise in bariatric surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and comprehensive general surgery to Northern Nevada. Dr. Webb is a board-certified general surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons with advanced fellowship training in bariatric and gastrointestinal minimally invasive surgery.
A Nevada native, Dr. Webb completed both his undergraduate education and medical degree at the University of Nevada, Reno, earning his Bachelor of Arts in History before graduating from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery residency at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, followed by advanced fellowship training in Bariatric and Advanced Minimally Invasive/GI Surgery at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Dr. Webb focuses on advanced surgical approaches designed to reduce recovery time while supporting strong clinical outcomes. His expertise encompasses laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques, with particular specialization in metabolic and bariatric surgery. He works closely with patients to ensure they feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout every stage of their treatment, from initial consultation through long-term follow-up care.
