About Mark Levin, MD

Dr. Mark Levin is double board-certified in general and vascular surgery, specializing in complex endovascular and open vascular procedures. With extensive training in cutting-edge, minimally invasive techniques, he is dedicated to surgical innovation and stays at the forefront of advancements in his field. His commitment to ongoing learning allows him to offer the latest treatment options to patients, improving outcomes and recovery times.

Since arriving in Reno in 2019, Dr. Levin has brought numerous new surgical techniques and technologies to our community. As the only vascular surgeon in the region who performs the full breadth of carotid intervention procedures, he was the first surgeon in the area to perform transcarotid artery revascularization, a minimally invasive procedure used to treat blockages or narrowing in the carotid artery. He is also the only Northern Nevada surgeon formally trained in complex endovascular aortic surgery and was the first physician in nearly a decade to perform fenestrated aortic aneurysm repair here.

Dr. Levin’s commitment to surgical excellence extends beyond the operating room, including assisting in the lab as a former Johns Hopkins Medical Institute Research Assistant. He also served as Chief Resident in General Surgery at Maricopa Medical Center, earning multiple awards for excellence in surgery and leadership.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Levin is a jack of many trades. A former collegiate swimmer, he was an Academic All-American and conference champion and enjoys staying active. When he’s not camping, fishing or spending time at the pool with his family, you can find him maintaining his aquarium, restoring vintage cars or coaching Little League.
